Water/Soil

Don’t over water, just enough to prevent the plant from drying out and to keep some fresh water in the centre tank. It is best to use water low in mineral salts and an acidic pH of 5.5 – 6. Prefers humidity, mist regularly in dry climates. Use an acidic, well draining potting mix.

Temperature

Light to moderate shade, morning or late afternoon sun. More filtered sunlight will produce more foliage colour. 50-70% shadecloth recommended in sunny climates. Generally frost hardy to -7 C, however protection is recommended. High temperatures will not cause harm, however foliage colour may fade.
